Dear Writer: I happened upon your blog by accident. I've already read several posts. It's maybe brilliant. And hilarious. I will most definitely read it again. Oh, and I am currently an intern. Ha!
I think this is an awesome blog for interns to get a sneak peak at what they may be getting themselves into (pretty humorous in parts too:)
If any of your wonderful readers would prefer to be able to pick and choose their internships and perform them online (as well as doing something more interesting than mailroom & janitor tasks) - I've provided a link to a new proprietary online intern service above:)
I'm looking forward to the intern season (free entertainment).
While browsing the Washington Post's job section, I came across this website and thought I would share: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/cityguide/features/2007/interns-guide/index.html.
I hope the new interns enjoy their time in D.C. I know I did.
This blog is dedicated to those DC residents who eagerly await (or completely dread) Intern Season. Essential to the function of offices in DC, interns are willing to complete tasks that are often considered undesirable. For many interns, this blog will not apply. For those interns to whom it does apply, we hope that you use these anecdotes to change your behavior and, eventually, change the stigma attached to DC interns.
*PLEASE NOTE: As with the viral nature of the Internet, many offices are concerned about anonymity and poor reflections upon them - please be assured that no office or individual will ever be singled out. This blog operates under complete anonymity and will never be of a libelous nature; it will never post any identifying information including, but not limited to: place of work or residence, name, or congressional office. We welcome you to submit any absurd intern stories you are bound to acquire. TWITTER EXCEPTION: we assume you give us permission to re-tweet any submissions you send our way via your public Twitter account.
To the interns: please use this blog as a learning tool. Godspeed and best of luck this summer. dcsummerinterns@gmail.com
You're back!!

Will the blog start up again for 2010? I'll be a intern this summer and can't wait to read it again...
